Smoke testing is a new technique used to locate a defect in your drainage system. It is most commonly used for odour detection.
Smoke testing is ideal to investigate damaged pipes that a CCTV survey may not be able to reach in or navigate around.
It is a quick and efficient way to get to the root of the problem, assess the damage and come up with a repair solution that best suits your needs. If you experience foul odours in your property which you suspect may be related to the drains our experts can track down the source of the problem using our specialist smoke testing equipment.
Our experts will use a specialist smoke testing machine, we will introduce smoke to the drainage system which will go with the flow of air through the pipes and then will escape from the pipe at the same point as the smell. We can then trace the smoke visually and establish the location of the defect in the pipe.
